Shekhtaki made Kabir Parmeshwar into boiling oil. But Kabir Saheb was sitting as if the oil was not hot. Alexander the King put his finger to test the oil, then his finger got burnt. But nothing happened to the eternal God Kabir.

गोरखनाथ से गोष्ठी एक बार कबीर परमेश्वर जी और गोरखनाथ जी की गोष्ठी हुई। गोरखनाथ जी गंगा नदी की ओर चल पड़ा। उसमें जा कर छलांग लगाते हुए कबीर जी से कहा कि मुझे ढूंढ दो मैं आपका शिष्य बन जाऊँगा। गोरखनाथ मछली बन कर गए। कबीर साहेब ने उसी मछली को पानी से बाहर निकाल कर सबके सामने गोरखनाथ बना दिया। तब गोरखनाथ कबीर जी के शिष्य बने। मृत गऊ को जीवित करना सिकंदर लोधी ने एक गऊ के तलवार से दो टुकड़े कर दिये। गऊ को गर्भ था और बच्चे के भी दो टुकड़े हो गए।  तब सिकंदर लोधी राजा ने कहा कि कबीर, यदि तू खुदा है तो इस गऊ को जीवित कर दे अन्यथा तेरा सिर भी कलम कर (काट) दिया जाएगा। साहेब कबीर ने एक बार हाथ गऊ के दोनों टुकड़ों को लगाया तथा दूसरी बार उसके बच्चे के टुकड़ों को लगाया। उसी समय दोनों माँ-बेटा जीवित हो गए। साहेब कबीर ने गऊ से दूध निकाल कर बहुत बड़ी देग (बाल्टी) भर दी तथा कहा -  गऊ अपनी अम्मा है, इस पर छुरी न बाह।  गरीबदास घी दूध को, सब ही आत्म खाय।। चुटकी तारी थाप दे, गऊ जिवाई बेगि। गरीबदास दूझन लगी, दूध भरी है देग।।
